[Conversation in English] Continued: The Annexation of La Merced of Atrisco to the city of Albuquerque and the tricky practices of the city council to annex areas and lands not supposed to be taken from the Atrisco town. In other words, stipulations and provisions of the Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty were not respected and the protections of the owners and heirs of the mercedes were eventually lost. More documented details on the land rights loss in La Merced to the new corporation, the commissioner system, and the city council.
