Born in Tierra Amarilla NM, in 1902. Family Genealogy: Parents, grandparents [Los Madrid y los Martinez] came from Santa Fe and moved to Tierra Amarilla. The settlement and violence in Tierra Amarilla before the establishment of Fort Furlong. Her great grand mother on the Madrid's side was murdered by the Indians in Tierra Amarilla. Her parents had twenty three children, but some of them died of common viral diseases. Spanish and French ancestry on  the side of the Martinez Grandparents and their migration to California during the Gold Rush. Conversation cotinues as it appears she is showing the interviewer some photos and letters, her father was a businessman, he attended school in San Miguel, he used to have a small shop, raised cattle and bought horses. More about family and family relations, Indian and Spanish ancestry, servants, musical instruments her family used to play. She attended school in Tierra Amarilla and Santa Fe where she graduated from 12th grade.
