Family Genealogy on the Arellano's side: Deluvina's grandfather, father; their origin and places where they lived: Embudo, Taos, and Mora. Her father was a teacher for 10 years. Her brother Alejandro was a soldier during the Spanish-American war in 1898, after the war he became a prosperous rancher and politician. In 1917 he was a legislature representative for Nolan in Mora County. Doña Deluvina continues talking about her siblings and their extended families. Her father died in 1902. Deluvina was born in Springer in 1890. She married Epifanio in 1912 in Springer. Conversation continues describing Epifanio's genealogy: The Valdezes' origins: Taos, Albuquerque, and Abiquiu. Epifanio's parents were Jesús María Valdez and Constancia Quintana Valdez. His grandfather was a 'fletero' [freight man]. Deluvina's job as a teacher in Nolan when she was single and after she got married, she continued talking about her children and their extended families, their jobs, and family relations.
