Conversation continued:  Some  young men from Springer went to WWI, economic situation was challenging during the war, the Mexican revolution and the New Mexican's feelings about that conflict, Juan Durán, a Nuevomexicano who went behind Pancho Villa, some personal anecdotes, the Great Depression in Las Vegas, stories about the people's sentiment about NM becoming a state, relationships with Indians from Taos, and other personal stories. More stories on local families and neighbors; their conflicts and confrontations with guns.
