Discussion topics: La Guardia, he was arrested with a group of other men. He was jailed for 2 hours as his friend from the Liga may have arranged his release. In 1936, he ran for Lt. Governor for the Partido Obrero. Their political platform during the campaign was free medical care. Some university students supported and strategized his platform especially related to the 'Mercedes' [land grants], the 1850 mercedes and the signing of the Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty. The suppression of Art 7. of the treaty, related to immigration from Mexico to New Mexico. Verses about Ella's mother in law, his experiences attending the Presbyterian school, his father was protestant. A story his father told him about the Sociedad de Nuestro Padre Jesus, a tough religious congregation.
