Abstract
Statistics have shown that there are about seven children who are born with or acquire cerebral palsy per year for every 100,000 population (7). This means that there are nearly 400,000 cerebral palsied persons under the age of 40 in the United States today (15). Cerebral palsy may be described as a disfunctioning of the nerves and muscles caused by damage to certain certain centers of the brain.
