Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the extent to which certain specific factors are associated with adjustment of a class of sixth grade students. The Mental Health Analysis, a personality test, (32) was administered to a sixth grade class in a public school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. These students were then compared in the following factors: willingness to accept damaging statements about themselves, friendship status, leadership status as compiled from ratings made by the peer group, leadership status as rated by the teacher, adjustment rank as rated by the teacher, achievement test score, intelligence test score, age, height, and weight.
