Abstract

The “Welcome to HSLIC” project aims to encourage outdoor library use and collaboration by improving the aesthetics and function of the area around the entrance to the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC). We intend to use input from HSLIC staff and patrons to inform the final project deliverables, which are planned to be completed by June 2024. The project’s survey results will also inform a longer-term plan/design for future improvements to the space, such as the Healing Garden project. This recording provides a brief project update and describes the results of the draft survey completed by HSLIC staff and faculty. Results show an opportunity for increased use with area improvements, and comments left by participants with ideas for improvements to the area.
