Abstract
My studio has large windows facing south. As I watched the birds react to the oncoming winter, I humanized them in my mind, imagining emotional reactions to the oncoming winter, culminating with their flight in the last movement. An avid environmentalist, I also thought of the birds (and perhaps our children) as some of the first creatures affected by steadily increasing pollution.
