Abstract
This document provides a brief overview of the Office of Justice Program's (OJP) funding, demonstration programs, research, training, technical assistance, and other resources designed to help rural communities address crime and improve their justice services. Included among these programs are several agencies that specifically deal with crime and justice issues for the American Indian and Alaskan Native (AI/AN) population. These include the OJP AI/AN Desk, the STOP Violence Against Indian Women (VAIW) Discretionary Grant Program, Violent Offender Incarceration (VOI) appropriation for discretionary grants to Native American tribes, and others. Appendices A, B, and C include addresses of other organizations and departments that can provide related services and information.
