Abstract
This report summarizes the key points raised during the workshop concerning alternative delivery systems for Indian health care. In this context, ""alternative\' means models that differ from delivery of services by the Indian Health Service by the federal staff or by contract services. The workshop resulted in two types of recommendations: 1) changes in the administration of the self-determination program, and 2) principles that should guide planning for the new demonstration program..
