Abstract
Certain groups of American Indians of the Sonoran biome have a particularly high rate of adult-onset diabetes. Studies of this group have shown that a wide variety of disease conditions occur at elevated levels among the identified diabetics, as compared to the non-diabetic population. This data suggests that care for diabetics should include preventive measures against these corollary conditions.
