Abstract

From 1997 to 2005, the Navajo Youth Risk Behavior Surveilance System (YRBS) was implemented to be used to monitor health-risk behaviors among youth in middle and high schools. Unhealthy risk behaviors can lead to unhealthy health conditions or injuries, and could enventually lead to health or social problems as chronic diseases, disability and drug or alcohol addictions.
