Description
Two Grammy nominees — Charo Goyonehe, appointed Meritorious Person of Afro Peruvian Culture, and Rosa Guzmán, appointed Meritorious Person of Peruvian Culture — fly in from Peru for a legendary concert with Freddy “Huevito” Lobatón, Master of of Afro Peruvian percussive instruments, and Yuri Juárez, Master of Afro-Peruvian folk guitar. Charo Goyonehe and Rosa Guzmán are Cultural Activists who through songs preserve Afro-Peruvian traditions and combat racism, sexism and marginalization. The repertoires of Freddy “Huevito” Lobatón and of Yuri Juárez ranges from Afro-Peruvian music to jazz, folk and fusion, and much more.
