Description

Join us for a poetry reading and lecture on Afro-descendant women writing with Shirley Campbell Barr, an Afro-Costa Rican poet and activist of the Afro-descendant movement in Latin America. Her acclaimed poem "Rotundamente Negra" has become an emblem for many Afro-descendent organizations in Latin America and the Caribbean and has received several distinctions across the region. Her work has been largely disseminated through Afro-descendant and women's organizations in Latin America.
