This video demonstrates how to sew a three-section pamphlet stitch book into a soft cover using separate three-hole bindings for each section. The instructor begins with a prepared cover and three gatherings of paper, each containing five folios, with sewing stations already punched and labeled as the center, head, and tail positions. Each section is aligned with its corresponding holes in the spine and temporarily secured with a clip before sewing. Starting at the center hole, the thread passes through the head and tail stations and returns to the center, where it is positioned on opposite sides of the running stitch and secured with a square knot. The instructor emphasizes checking thread tension and pulling parallel to the book to prevent tearing the paper. This process is repeated independently for all three sections, producing a thicker book with three visible bindings along the spine. The finished spine can also be reinforced or decorated with additional paper, colored threads, or other design elements, and the same technique can be expanded to include more sections by increasing the width of the spine accordingly.
