This video shows several creative variations of the accordion book structure through a collection of handmade artist books. The presenter shows how the basic folded accordion can be modified using different covers, page arrangements, materials, and structural techniques. Examples include traditional accordion folds with hard covers, books incorporating cutouts and windows, sewn or connected accordion sections, and more experimental forms that expand outward into sculptural shapes. Several pieces also incorporate collage, maps, illustrations, textured papers, and other mixed-media elements, showing how the accordion format can function not only as a bookbinding structure but also as a flexible framework for visual storytelling and artistic experimentation.
