Abstract
This report analyzes New Mexico's economic performance during May 1951, noting continued business expansion alongside emerging weaknesses in construction, agriculture, and selected retail sectors. Particular attention is given to regional variations in retail trade, employment trends, the effects of drought, and concerns about consumer purchasing power amid rising prices.
