Abstract
This report focuses on retail trade as a measure of economic activity, analyzing statewide and regional retail sales patterns during 1951 and comparing them with banking and business indicators. The report concludes that New Mexico's economy had reached a relatively stable plateau, with business activity expected to remain strong through early 1952.
