Abstract

The New Mexico Manpower Review was prepared by the Research and Statistics section for the Employment Security Commission of New Mexico for February of 1975. It is a report on the state's employment and economic activity; seasonally adjusted unemployment rose in February by 0.8 percentage points to 8% from January, which was still lower than the national adjusted rate (8.2%). Construction and service industries had lower than their expected seasonal increases and manufacturing (particularly apparel) decreased in jobs. The sectors with the highest employment levels were state government and mining.
