Abstract
The term feudalism is frequently used to describe various aspects of political, economic, and social life in the several Latin American countries. Unfortunately, it is almost always used imprecisely. This study was undertaken for the purpose of determinating if indeed there were feudal elements present in one particular area of colonial Latin America, and, if so, to try to isolate and define them.
