Abstract
The following study will attempt to show the influence of the Mexican Liberal party from the period of the Díaz dictatorship to the administration of Álvaro Obregón. Most of the democratic economic and political principles which it advocated in the Manifesto of July 1, 1906 were later incorporated into the Constitution of 1917. Although this group failed to bring Anarcho-Communism to Mexico by force of arms during and after the Madero revolution, the agitation which it conducted influenced the agrarian movement led by Zapata, and the left-wing labor movement which finally resulted in the organization of the Confederación General de Trabajores in 1921.
