Abstract
In this study three of the most prominent Christian types will be presented: the apostle, the monk, and the mystic. They will be taken up in the order of their appearance in Christian history, and each one will be represented by a single historical figure. The reasons for choosing these three types may be largely personal. They are especially well-suited for bringing out what seem to me to be the most important insights into the Christian experience.
