Abstract
This thesis is concerned with the people of Albuquerque and their accomplishments through the years 1880-1885. A complete file of the Morning Journal is available, and this newspaper was the main source of information. Wherever possible the endeavor has been made to check and supplement the newspaper reports with original records and interviews with people connected with the period under consideration.
