Abstract
Statement of the problem. The purpose of this study was to investigate some of the factors involved in reading achievement. They include: (1) visual discrimination ability, {2) auditory discrimination ability, (3) motorperception maturity, (4) using symbols, (5) ability to use context clues, and (6) a child’s interest in reading, in books, and in symbols before he starts to school.
