Abstract
I. THE PR0BLEM
Statement of the problem. It was the purpose of this study (1) to discover why elementary teachers 1vho have resigned from the Albuquerque Schools because of pregnancy have not returned to teaching; (2) to ascertain if fact ions existing within the school community or forces within the school system were influential considerations in the decisions of teachers who have not returned to teaching.
