Abstract
The purpose of this study is to ascertain the status of foreign languages in West Virginia secondary schools for the past eighteen years, as to (1) pupil enrollment by classes, sex, subjects, and years offered and (2) teacher preparation, experience, tenure, salary, and teaching load.
