Abstract
Various societal influences have been gradually changing the quantity and quality of education required of today's youth. More college graduates are needed and they must be more highly trained. To help solve this problem, colleges have instituted new courses and the secondary schools have adopted new curricula. This study was designed to check the effectiveness of one of these curricula, modern mathematics, as well as certain allied factors which might impair the student's ability to be successful in it at the secondary or college level.
