Abstract

In this study, Steven A. Romero examines how digital archive analysis and composition develops students’ understanding and application of field rhetoric and community-engaged learning in first-year writing and general education Chicana/Chicano/x Studies courses.

Comments

The purpose of this study is to offer gen ed teachers a framework for culturally responsive teaching that integrates digital archival literacy, which, from Mr. Romero's observations and analysis, strengthens students’ critical thinking and reflection, their engagement with research, and their sense of academic belonging.
