Abstract

The antitumor activity found in such ring systems as purine (I), 8 - azapurine (II), pyrazolo[3, 4- d]pyrimidine (Ill) and pteridine (VI) prompted the preparation of substituted benzimidazoles, ν-triazolo­[4, 5-c]- (V), imidazo[4, 5-d]- (IV), pyrazino[2, 3-c]- (VII) and pyrazino[2, 3-d]- (VIII) pyridazines.
