For many Brazilians, the carnaval in Salvador is considered to be among the more lively and authentic forms of Afro-Brazilian music and dance. Blocos in Salvador also parade in the streets, yet unlike the samba schools in Rio they are not as formally structured and divided into alas.83) Um trio elétrico no meio de um bloco (grupo de samba), em Salvador. O carnaval em Salvador é considerado por muitos brasileiros como uma das formas mais animadas e autênticas da dança e música afro-brasileira. Os blocos em Salvador também desfilam nas ruas, mas, ao contrário das escolas de samba no Rio, eles não são tão formalmente estruturados nem divididos em alas.
