18) The electric streetcar crossig the Carioca aqueduct. Since 1896, thanks to the coming of electricity, streetcars have been carrying passengers from downtown (Largo da Carioca) to the Santa Teresa district.18) Bonde elétrico cruzando o aqueduto da Carioca. Desde 1896, graças à chegada da eletricidade, os bondes vêm transportando passageiros do centro da cidade (Largo da Carioca) até o bairro de Santa Teresa.
