Since 1896, thanks to the coming of electricity, streetcars have been carrying passengers from downtown (Largo da Carioca) to the Santa Teresa district.18) Bonde elétrico cruzando o aqueduto da Carioca. Desde 1896, graças à chegada da eletricidade, os bondes vêm transportando passageiros do centro da cidade (Largo da Carioca) até o bairro de Santa Teresa.
