71. Rua da Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa Street), 1953. Iberê Camargo, who began his artistic studies in Rio Grande do Sul, became one of Brazil's leading painters of the 1960s and '70s. This street scene painted in thick impasto with gestural brushwork is typical of his subjects and style in those years.
