Description
17. Canto da praia (Place Along the Beach), 1886. Parreiras painted this beach scene in a loose, open style evoking the atmosphere of shifting light and clouds, the movement of winds and waves, and the implied presence of the fishermen, whose tools are seen beside the rustic shelter of palm fronds.
