Description
Inside the Church of Nossa Senhora da Conceição in Sabará (MG). The mining wealth of Minas Gerais permitted the growth of a sophisticated urban society in the interior. A populace of government officials, engineers, architects, businessmen and speculators were able to indulge their fancy, building sumptuous baroque and rococo mansions, churches and convents in the new towns, and attracting in tum painters, poets, musicians and sculptors.O interior da igreja Nossa Senhora da Conceição, em Sabara (MG). A riqueza mineral de Minas Gerais permitiu o crescimento de uma sofisticada sociedade urbana no interior. Uma população de administradores, engenheiros, arquitetos, comerciantes e especuladores póde satisfazer seus desejos construindo nas novas cidades magníficas mansões, igrejas e conventos, nos estilos rococó e barroco, e por sua vez, atraindo pintores, poetas, músicos e escultores.
