Description
Large clearing in the equatorial forest for planting corn in the foreground are several manioc plants and a large tree stump. In order to make a clearing, the best trees are selected for possible use as timber and the rest of the vegetation is burned. In many areas where there is no feasible way to sell trees as timber the whole area is simply set on fire.
