Description
A modern day care center in Salvador. In some favelas, the residents have been able to gain such centers, while others have received primary schools or health centers. Brazil possesses some of the most modem medical facilities in Latin America. Nevertheless, direct access to these is often limited to those who can afford them. The waiting lines to receive public health services often are very long while hospitals complain about inadequate medical supplies and personnel.Uma creche modema em Salvador. Em algumas favelas os residentes têm sido capazes de receber tais centros, enquanto que outras têm recebido escolas primárias ou centros de saúde. O Brasil possui algumas das mais modernas instalações médicas da América Latina. Contudo, o acesso direto a estas instalações é muitas vezes limitado aos que podem pagar. As filas de espera para o recebimento de serviços públicos de saúde são muitas vezes bastante longas. Por sua vez os hospitais se queixam de suprimento médico inadequado e pessoal.
