Description
Samba dancing during the carnaval parade in Salvador (BA). The samba schools that parade down the avenues in the major cities are often composed of beautifully costumed groups from the favelas or working districts, Rio de Janeiro being a good example. The street festivities unite people of different skin color and classes in one of the largest popular celebrations in the world.Sambistas durante o desfile de carnaval. As escolas de samba que desfilam nas avenidas das grandes cidades são sempre compostas de belos grupos fantasiados, na sua maioria pessoas de baixa renda. O Rio de Janeiro tem sido um bom exemplo. As festividades de rua unem pessoas de diferentes classes raciais e sociais numa das maiores celebrações do mundo.
