Doenças contagiosas, trabalhos escravos ou mal remunerados, projetas de desenvolvimento agrícola e mineiro, construções de rodovias e colonizaçilo têm dizimado inúmeras tribos. Em muitos casos, os índios não têm outra escolha que se integrarem à sociedade brasileira.
