Nevertheless, direct access to these is often limited to those who can afford them. The waiting tines to receive public heaIth care are often very long and hospitals often complain about inadequate medical supplies and personnel.Hospital Santa Casa de Misericórdia em Belo Horizonte (MG). O Brasil possui algumas das mais modernas instalações médico-hospitalares da América Latina. Entretanto, o acesso a esses serviços é sempre limitado àqueles que possuem recursos financeiros para tal. Para se ter acesso ao serviço público de saúde, tem-se que, muitas vezes, enfrentar enormes filas e os hospitais enfrentam problemas de falta de medicamentos e pessoal qualificado.
