Favela (slum or shantytown) of Alagados in Salvador (BA). Because of explosive growth, largely from rural migration, city officials throughout Brazil have often been unable to provide such basic facilities as water, electricity, sewage and most especially housing.Favela de Alagados em Salvador (BA). Como consequência do explosivo crescimento populacional, grande parte por causa da migração urbana, as prefeituras municipais em todo o Brasil têm sido muito vezes incapazes de proporcionar à população recursos básicos como água, eletricidade, esgoto e especialmente moradia.
