One of the ceremonies that follow the regular cycle of the sacred year is the Águas de Oxalá (the ceremony of the waters of Oxalá). It represents the beginning of the African year, a time of renewal, and coincides with spring.Uma das cerimónias que sucedem ao ciclo regular do ano sagrado é a das Águas de Oxalá (cerimónia das águas de Oxalá). Representa o início do ano africano, um tempo de renovação, o qual coincide com a primavera.
