Indian pajé statue and artifacts in Candomblé shop. The pajé or Shaman of the Amerindian peoples invoked the spirits of the dead and nature much in the sarne way as in the Candomblé rituaIs. Amerindian spirits may be present and revered in such Afro-Brazilian rituaIs.Imagem de pajé indígena e artesanato numa loja de candomblé. O pagé ou shaman dos povos ameríndios invocava os espíritos dos mortos e a natureza de modo muito semelhante ao dos rituais de candomblé. Os espíritos ameríndios às vezes estão presentes e são venerados nestes rituais afro-brasileiros.
