Areas were allocated along the eixo monumental for specific activities ranging from industry to banking, to better organize the city, though much overlapping has taken place. Br asília has been outgrowing its original limits and today the planned city houses nearly 500,000 people.Os setores de hotel e comércio. Ao longo do Eixo Monumental foram alocadas áreas para ati vidades específicas, desde à industrial à bancária, para melhor organizar a cidade, embora muita superposição de estabelecimentos diversos tenha ocorrido. Brasília tem crescido além de seus limites originais e hoje a cidade planejada abriga aproximadamente 500.000 pessoas.
