Description

One of the many street maps that can be found in Brasília. To build the city, Kubitschek called on architect Oscar Niemeyer, a student of Le Corbusier, to design the principal public buildings. A special jury selected Lúcio costa's city plan entry and landscape designer Roberto Burle Max was invited collaborate in the grand design of the new capital. The city is said to have been built in the shape of an airplane, cross, or bow and arrow, depending on the viewer's opinion, and faces the artificially created Paranoá lake.Um dos mui tos mapas urbanos que podem ser encontrados em Brasília. Para construir a cidade, Kubi tschek convidou o arquiteto Oscar Niemeyer, discípulo de Le Corbuisier, para proj etar os principais prédios públicos. Um Juri especial selecionou a proposta de plano para a cidade apresentado por Lúcio Costa, e o paisagista Roberto Burle Max foi convidado a colaborar no grande proj eto da nova capital. A cidade foi construída na forma de um avião, cruz, ou arco e flecha, dependendo da opinião de quem a observa. A cidade está diante do lago artificial paranoá.
