Description
A street vendo r selling electronic gadgets and toys, produced locally in the free zone or smuggled from abroad. Most of the capital intensive industrialized goods produced are for domestic consumption, though certain items are also exported. Unfortunately, many of the factories are mere assembly lines and many companies prefer simply to import and resell goods. This has greatly limited the anticipated benefits of the free zone. In particular it has not led to the development of a skilled labor force.Vendedor de rua vendendo aparelhos e brinquedos eletrónicos, produzidos localmente na zona franca ou contrabandeados do exterior. A maior parte das mercadorias aí produzidas são para consumo doméstico, embora alguns itens sejam também exportados. Infelizmente muitas das fábricas são meramente para montagem e muitas companhias preferem simplesmente importar e revender mercadorias. Isto tem limitado grandemente os benefícios que se esperava da zona franca. Em particular, não tem levado a região ao desenvolvimento de uma força de trabalho especializada.
