The caatinga vegetation is characterized by numerous cactii species, thomy bushes and short twisted trees with deep roots (which lose their leaves during the dry season).A vegetação da caatinga é caracterizada por numerosas espécies de cactus, arbustos espinhosos e pequenas árvores retorcidas de raízes profundas (as quais perdem as folhas na estação seca) que crescem no sertão.
