The topology of the sertão inc1udes a number of chapadas (broad and flat uplands or table mountains) such as the region around Juazeiro do Norte (CE). While most of the year the vegetation of the sertão is brown and dry, during the rainy season it blooms and turns green.A topologia do sertão inclui um grande número de chapadas (extensas e planas regiões montanhosas ou plateaus como as regiões nas cercanias de Juazeiro do Norte (CE). Enquanto a vegetação do sertão é marrom e seca na maior parte do ano, durante alguns meses ela floresce e enverdece.
