View of the downtown Anhangabau Valley and the Cha bridge. A small river once flowed through this area during the colonial period; it has since disappeared below the concrete. In 1892 the Cha bridge, the first iron footbridge, was built across the valley, a major event for that timeVista do vale do Anhangabaú e do Viaduto do Chá no centro de São Paulo. Um pequeno rio percorria esta área durante o período colonial; ele desapareceu debaixo do concreto. Em 1892 o Viaduto do Chá, a primeira ponte de ferro, foi construído através do vale, sendo o maior evento daquele tempo.
