An Amazon frontier town near Rolim de Moura (Rondónia). As new highways are built and paved to connect the Amazon and Central-West regions with the rest of the nation, large numbers of landless families, speculators, and other settlers have moved into these areas giving rise to local development, but also ecological concerns.Uma cidade fronteiriça do Amazonas perto de Rolim de Moura (Rondónia). Como as novas estradas estão sendo construídas e pavimentadas para conectar o Amazonas e a região Centro-oeste com o resto da nação, grande número de famílias sem terra, especuladores e outros colonizadores, têm-se mudado para estas áreas, elevando o desenvolvimento local, como também preocupações ecológicas.
